Instruction for Authors

Page Charges

Beginning on January 1st, 2019, JAAC will start to charge a per-article fee to the authors who are supported by research grants and funding agencies.  Any accepted article that contains acknowledgment(s) of research fund(s) will be required to pay a per-article charge in the amount of $800. Accepted articles without funding agency support will continue to be published free of charge to the authors. The collected fees will provide necessary financial funding for JAAC to improve its online publications and operations, in order to better serve our authors and readers.

Copyright Notice

1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

2. The paper is typed in LaTex or Tex. (Authors can use their own tex template. Once the article is accepted, the author will be asked to provide their paper in JAAC template form.)

3. The submission file is in PDF. (Please make sure that the paper cites at least 5 closely related papers in recent 3 years.)

4. All submission will be peer-reviewed.
